Should you read food labels?

Short answer is YES please do.

The first three ingredients in a food product tell you a lot about the product, that’s why you should read the label on any food you buy. The first three ingredients often tell the story of the entire product.

For example, if the first three ingredients are flour, sugar and fat then that product is probably not great as it’s not high in nutrients.

If the product has dates, tahini and sunflower seeds then you know already that you are getting some great nutrients.

Everything you eat matters so read the labels to make sure what you are eating is adding value to your health and not taking it away.
