Squats, good for your thighs and for your bowels.
I know I talk about poo a lot but it’s my job to keep you informed of what’s best for you and your bowel health. If you have ever travelled through Asia you have more than likely used a squat toilet and love them or hate them they are good for your bowel habits.
Studies have shown that squatting for you number 2’s can avoid issues such as constipation, haemorrhoids, urinary tract infections, pelvic floor disorders and gives you complete evacuation! It’s all about the way our colon is situated.
Just sitting to poo doesn’t relax your muscles enough to relieve the need to strain when going to the toilet. But, squatting relaxes the muscles completely allowing a clear and straight passageway for your poo to evacuate. Brilliant.
Don't worry, you don't need to be a power lifter to do what I am suggesting.
