Neurodivergence
What does the gut have to do with Autism and ADHD?
Neurodivergence is used to describe people whose brains work differently to the norm. This can be very positive as those with ADHD and Autism can think outside the box and see things that those who aren't neurodiverse cannot. Current research has associated changes in the gut microbiota with neurodivergence and this is what we use to help clients to improve their choice and control and hlpe them live their best life.
Autism
Those with ASD can have higher rates of constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, and stool odour than the rates of those without ASD.

Excess propionate production has been seen in those with autism.

ADHD
Vitamin A deficiency has been seen in ADHD.

Increased Bifidobacterium because of an increase in phenylalanine (a precursor to dopamine)
